He's reassuring him that's it all okay, but Gorgug looks at him like he's trying to figure out if that's the truth, while also trying to hide what he's doing, too.
Which means he doesn't really figure anything out before he looks away. The verdict in his head is doubtful, deciding that Fabian probably cares more about getting him back to the apartments and rested--so he can get back to helping Adaine, and nothing else. That's why he wants to be seventh, right?

Pulls a smile tight on his mouth, even if he doesn't look Fabian in the face when he does, quickly busying himself with his computer so he can put it in a powered down state.
It gives him an excuse not to look at Fabain, and that helps. ]
