maximumlegend: (but all my dreaming)

[ See, if this was a fight, it would be easy. It hurts when Fabian's back hits the ground, when they start tumbling around, moving across the rough surface, but that's all fine. He's been in far worse pain in the past, and he's always been able to still continue to focus on the battle through it. If Gorgug was a regular opponent, Fabian would move his blade to pierce it straight through the other to win.

.. the problem is that this isn't that. Fabian doesn't want to kill Gorgug here, obviously, and that makes the sword more of a liability in this moment than an asset. He still holds onto it as they roll, not wanting to give up his fighting chance here so quickly, but that means he doesn't have as much attention left to focus on Gorgug when he at the same time has to focus on making sure the blade doesn't stab clean through either of them as they tumble around.

(And even that is hard to do with their close proximity. Fabian feels the blade cutting something, and in the chaos he can't even tell if it's him or Gorgug. He can tell from the sound that it isn't deep, just a scratch, enough to draw a thin line of blood at best, but he doesn't know if he's the one feeling it or if that's just from rolling around, if it's just the adrenaline, or if he scratched Gorgug.)

No time to figure out how to use his sword in this position without injuring either of them far more than a spar should allow though.

But it's fine. Fabian is struggling against the grip his friend has on him, but he knows he won't slip out of this one, the grip of the other's hands on his shoulders just a little bit too strong.

So Fabian has to use other methods.

.. you know, like suddenly launching his knee up hard - see, Gorgug, this is why you always figure out the leg situation first!! Rookie mistake!! - to try and knee Gorgug hard right in the balls.

Fabian may not consider sword stabbing fair play in a spar, but this is, okay. Don't question him. ]
